Recently, there have been so many events hat have reminded me of the words of the prophet Habakkuk.
“O LORD, how long shall I cry, And You will not hear? Even cry out to You, “Violence!” And You will not save. Why do You show me iniquity, And cause me to see trouble? For plundering and violence are before me; There is strife, and contention arises. Therefore the law is powerless, And justice never goes forth. For the wicked surround the righteous; Therefore perverse judgment proceeds.” Habakkuk 1v2-4.
The Bible is always in season, and if anyone doubts the inerrancy of the Bible, I question whether they've actually read it. God has declared the end from the beginning and if there is an issue in life, better believe God has addressed it! Friends, Christ is the answer for everything we face in daily life.
I don't know about you, but over the past year or so, I've learned to limit my intake of the news because each day, there is confirmation the world is getting darker and darker, unraveling at its very seams. We see the peril of the world, though tragic Jesus told us this was the beginning of sorrows (Matthew 24v6-8). Many people wonder where to turn because everything they trust is failing (people, finances, health). They are desperate for things to get back to “normal.” But the truth is, nothing has ever been “normal” since the fall, where humanity chose to be separated from its Creator. Never in history has a generation “gone back to the way things were,” instead, it continues to be propelled into an incredible time, where Christ is coming for His bride.
As believers, we know the clock is winding down, and there has never been a more critical time for us to be firmly rooted in the faith and walking in our purpose. We know and are witnesses to the Truth. Christ closed the chasm of separation through His death, burial, and resurrection. This is the Good News so many are desperate for! People need spiritual reconciliation so they will be free to truly live. Many people lack the truth concerning the free gift of the forgiveness of sins, while others have heard another Gospel, where they must work to earn God's grace and acceptance.
Rather than placing the enemy on a pedestal, acting as though surprised by what is happening, let's allow our faith to arise, lifting Jesus Christ high, able to bring hope amid the darkness, and calm to the chaos. Let's encourage one another to be watchful of what the Lord is doing, for God is moving! As we continue to abide in Him, looking at Him, keeping in step with Him, we will see Him at work preparing hearts for His harvest. Let's be intentional about sharing our hope with everyone in our sphere of influence, for the time is now!
We are sons and daughters of the promise, beacons of hope, earthen vessels filled with the treasure of the Gospel, and friends; there is no time like the present to speak the Truth. We have been commissioned to be part of the most excellent harvest of all time. Let's be about our Father's business!
Consider the words of the prophet,
“Look among the nations and watch— Be utterly astounded! For I will work a work in your days Which you would not believe, though it were told you.” Habakkuk 1v5.
What is this the Lord is speaking about? May I submit the days we live in where the free favor of God profusely abounds. Since Jesus has come, it has been a time of the Lord’s grace. Therefore, we are not snared by the utter devastation around us but filled with the Holy Spirit's power and boldness to bring the Gospel of the grace of our Lord Jesus to more people.
We have work to do, friends; therefore, let’s keep oil in our lamps, eyes fixed on Jesus, and hearts tied to His will and purpose, standing our post, eagerly awaiting His arrival, for He is coming soon!

“For the earth will be filled With the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, As the waters cover the sea.” Habakkuk 2v14.
